A Fulbright scholar in Paris, coloratura soprano Laura Hynes spent six years in France and Germany, performing repertoire ranging from baroque opera with Les Arts Florissants to “classical cabaret” on French television and radio. She has performed opera roles, solo recitals, and concerts throughout Europe and North America, and equally loves collaborating with artists of various stripes and creating her own shows, from social justice recitals to intimate staged works.
Dr. Hynes is currently an Assistant Professor of Voice and Opera at the University of Calgary in Canada.
